When you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the email address you provide to send the requested communications.
You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our newsletter emails or by contacting us at ghost@news.solvexa8.com.
Unsubscribing from marketing or newsletter communications does not necessarily prevent us from sending essential administrative messages relating to an existing request, legal obligation, security matter, or other non-promotional communication where permitted.
We may retain a limited record of an unsubscribed email address where necessary to ensure that the address remains suppressed from future newsletter mailings.
4. Email Tracking and Analytics
Our newsletter platform (self-hosted Ghost) may use technologies such as tracking pixels, unique links, or similar mechanisms to provide information about newsletter delivery and engagement.
Depending on the technology used, this may allow us to determine information such as:
- Whether an email was delivered.
- Whether an email appears to have been opened.
- Whether a particular link was clicked.
- General engagement trends among subscribers.
This information is used primarily to evaluate newsletter performance, improve content, identify technical delivery problems, and understand audience interests.
Some email applications and privacy tools may block or limit this type of tracking.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site may use cookies, local storage, pixels, scripts, and similar technologies.
Cookies are small data files stored on your browser or device. They may be used for purposes such as:
- Maintaining essential Site functionality.
- Remembering preferences.
- Measuring Site traffic.
- Understanding how visitors use the Site.
- Improving performance.
- Preventing abuse or security threats.
- Supporting third-party services embedded within the Site.
Cookies may be either session cookies, which expire after you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a defined period or until deleted.
Where required by applicable law, non-essential cookies will be used only after obtaining appropriate consent.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect Site functionality.
6. Analytics Services
The Site does not currently use third-party analytics providers. If this changes, this section will be updated to identify any analytics services used and how they process information.
7. Newsletter and Email Service Providers
We use a self-hosted Ghost installation to manage subscriber lists and deliver newsletters. Subscriber information is stored on infrastructure hosted by Hostinger.
Newsletter emails are delivered through our configured email delivery service. These providers may process subscriber information on our behalf and may process information in countries other than your country of residence.
8. Hosting and Technical Service Providers
We may rely on hosting companies, content delivery networks, website platforms, database providers, security services, and other technical vendors to operate the Site.
These providers may process technical information as necessary to provide their services.
We seek to use service providers that maintain appropriate privacy and security practices, although no third-party service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Affiliate Links and Commercial Relationships
Some articles, newsletters, or pages may contain affiliate links.
If you follow an affiliate link and make a purchase or complete another qualifying action, we may receive a commission or other compensation. Unless otherwise stated, this generally does not increase the price you pay.
Third-party merchants may collect information when you visit their websites or make purchases. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this Privacy Policy.
Where appropriate, affiliate or sponsored relationships will be disclosed in accordance with applicable requirements.
10. Advertising
The Site does not currently display advertising. If this changes, advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to measure ad performance, limit repetition, detect fraud, or provide advertising. This section will be updated to describe advertising practices and identify major advertising providers if personalized or interest-based advertising is introduced.
11. Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances.
Service Providers
We may provide information to contractors and vendors that perform services on our behalf, including email delivery, website hosting, cloud infrastructure, security, customer support, payment processing if applicable, and professional advisory services.
These providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to provide the relevant services, subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.
Legal and Safety Requirements
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a subpoena, court order, or lawful governmental request, protect our legal rights, investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or security threats, protect the safety of users or others, or enforce agreements applicable to the Site.
Business Transfers
If the Site, newsletter, or associated business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
12. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money.
Certain privacy laws may define terms such as "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" more broadly than their ordinary meanings. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising. If this changes, we will provide any disclosures and opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law.
13. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the newsletter or other requested services, maintaining business and security records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and maintaining unsubscribe and suppression records.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it is being processed.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal obligations.
14. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction.
However, no website, email transmission, computer system, database, or internet communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You therefore provide information through the internet at your own risk.
If we become aware of a data breach affecting personal information, we will take appropriate steps and provide notifications where required by applicable law.
15. International Data Transfers
Our Site, service providers, hosting providers, newsletter platforms, or other vendors may operate in multiple countries.
As a result, information may be processed or stored outside your state, province, country, or economic region. Where required, appropriate safeguards may be used for international transfers of personal information.
16. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide rights concerning your personal information.
These rights may include the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of personal information, request restriction of certain processing, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, receive certain information in a portable format, opt out of certain forms of advertising, sale, or sharing, lodge a complaint with an appropriate data protection authority, and receive information about categories of information collected, used, or disclosed.
Not every right applies in every jurisdiction or circumstance.
To submit a privacy request, contact:
Email: ghost@news.solvexa8.com
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by applicable law, subject to appropriate verification.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against an individual for exercising applicable privacy rights.
17. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Similar Jurisdictions
Where applicable data protection law requires a lawful basis for processing personal information, our processing may rely on one or more of the following:
Consent - for example, where you voluntarily subscribe to a newsletter or consent to optional cookies.
Contractual necessity - where processing is required to provide a service you have requested.
Legitimate interests - where processing is reasonably necessary for purposes such as operating the Site, maintaining security, understanding readership, preventing abuse, or improving our services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Legal obligation - where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
You may withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing completed before consent was withdrawn.
Where applicable, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction.
18. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states, including Texas under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, may have additional rights under state privacy laws.
Depending on the applicable law and our activities, these may include rights to know what personal information is collected, access personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete personal information, obtain a portable copy of certain information, opt out of the sale of personal information, opt out of sharing or targeted advertising, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and appeal a decision relating to a privacy request.
The availability of these rights depends on the applicable law and whether that law applies to our organization.
Requests may be submitted using the contact information provided in this Privacy Policy.
19. Do Not Track and Browser Privacy Signals
Some browsers provide "Do Not Track" settings or other privacy preference signals.
Because there is not a universal technical standard governing all such signals, the Site may not respond to every browser-based Do Not Track mechanism.
Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid opt-out preference signal, we will endeavor to process that signal as required.
20. Children's Privacy
The Site and newsletter are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under the minimum age at which they may independently consent to the processing of personal information under applicable law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us improperly, contact us at ghost@news.solvexa8.com so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
21. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Site and newsletter may link to third-party websites, applications, products, videos, social media platforms, stores, or other services.
We do not control the privacy, security, or data-handling practices of those third parties. Visiting a third-party service is subject to that third party's own terms, policies, and practices.
A link from our Site does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of the third party or its products or services.
22. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal obligations.
When we make changes, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above.
If a change is material and applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide such notice or obtain such consent as required.
Your continued use of the Site following the effective date of an updated Privacy Policy constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy, except where applicable law requires a different form of consent.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution.

Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief where legally appropriate.
